TUT students and clients


If you wish to use the TUT paid output service by Overall, you will need to open a printing account and to make a downpayment on it.

The fastest way to register an account and to make the downpayment is to buy an ID-ticket with a mobile telephone; the cheapest option is to buy an ID-ticket from an Internet bank (see www.pilet.ee).

Just call by mobilephone to number: 1312*530*"social security number" and push * for confirming purchase. Example: 1312*530*12345678909 wait instructions and push * to confirm purchase. Transaction and account registartion take normally about 1 minut and if everything is ok then you will recive confirmation SMS. You can start use services. You need to have an Estonian ID card!

You can register as a service user with the aid of the personnel at the Copy Centre (main building IV section 1. floor), in the main house lobby Information Centre (Ehitajate tee 5) and in the Faculty of Information Technology (Raja 15 - 214).You can pay in cash only at the Copy Centre!

Necessary for registration on Copy Center:
  • to be a student, employee or client of the Tallinn University of Technology (and you need to be in possession of a computer network user account if you want to print on Raja 15 copmputer classes)
  • to be in possession of an Estonian ID-card or a magnetic card (for example ISIC), which will enable to identify yourself at the machine
  • paying electronically – minimum payment 1 €, a service fee of 0 up to 0,19 € is added, paying in cash – minimum payment 1 €, service fee 0,30 €.
If you register with the aid of the personnel the following information will be asked from you:
  • matricula number or computer network user name – necessary for printing on Raja 15 computer classes
  • social security number – this will be used to identify the owner of the bought ID-ticket and the money will be sent to the corresponding account
  • first and last name – information that will be displayed in the statistics and on the devices when they are used
  • ID-card (or a magnetic card) – necessary to identify you with the device (magnetic card users may not be able to print in some computer classes where the card number needs to be entered manually)
  • E-mail address – the ID-ticket purchase confirmations will be sent here (simlarly to the SMS sent to the mobile telephone)

You can use the registered printing account with all the output devices connected to the system (printers and copiers).

Printing:
    • you can print PDF files from your notebook or anywhere at www.pilveprint.ee
    • at Raja 15 computer classrooms – you will need to log in to the computer with your personal computer network account
    • public use computers at the printing location in CopyCenter and in Library – you will need to enter your ID-card to card reader or type manually your "social security number and card number" (ex.: 12345678901A12345678) in the POPUP that opens
    • to receive a print job you will have to identify yourself at the printer with a previously registered ID-card
    • the print jobs waiting in the server will be maintained for 24 hours
    • you can receive your print job from any public device where you can identify yourself with ID-card
Copying and scanning:
    • to make copies and to scan documents you will first need to identify yourself at the device with a previously registered ID- or magnetic card
    • if you have enough credit, then you will be able to use it to make copies and scan documents (in black and white)
    • you will need to insert the e-mail address where you wish to send the scan job on the device panel to perform a scan (scanning is available only with Canon iR3320i, at the Copy Centre) and e-mail are limited 2MB. Ex.: 1 page BW A4 document = about 100kB, so max 20 pages of BW A4.
