Foreword from President of Overall, Andres Haamer History of Overall - Chronology History of Overall The Development of the Business Environment in Estonia Overall after Fifteen Years Sales Resellers and Dealers Business Solutions Technical Service Other Aspects of Overall Activities

From 1990, the year Estonian independence was restored, through to 1997, market development and growth in Estonia was dramatic. Our business first tripled and then doubled year on year.

Copier equipment usage grew in proportion with the market. Personal copiers that were designed for low copy-volumes had to cope with thousands of copies per month. The economy grew and as efficiency replaced cost as the main criteria customer demand shifted to more productive high end devices.

Many smaller resellers joined the Overall service and sales network as local partners and as such customers had access to Canon products from many different sources.

To further extend our service in Estonia we established two branch offices in 1996. We started an exchange service, purchasing our customers’ old copiers to supply economically less developed, high demand markets — education and public services.

In 1996 the financial services sector in Estonia had no defined office equipment leasing model. Predicting that this situation would change Overall launched a very successful Canon office equipment leasing and rental service. This service was soon in high demand, enabling our customers to spread their investment across several years or exchange their device as the usage requirements grew. As a result we managed to develop the high-end copier, accessories and colour copier markets.
